You are Not Alone

In the beginning of our journey to having children, my husband and I did not share with anyone that we started trying to have children. Honestly, we didn’t think it would take very long, so we wanted to keep it a secret and surprise everyone when the time came. When it didn’t happen right away and since we didn’t tell anybody, we started going through this trial by ourselves. We were frustrated, sad, angry, and depressed. We yelled and cried a lot. We tried to lean on each other, but because we were both so broken, it was like we were slowly imploding. We weren’t even leaning on God, yet. We figured that having babies is a natural thing, so who needed anyone else but ourselves, right? WRONG. First of all, God is the giver of life. He should have been the first one we went to with the desires of our hearts. The first step should have been to make our desires known to God, trust Him for perfect timing, and then stand on His word while waiting for our promise. It wasn’t until after much sorrow and anguish that we thought that maybe God could help us. And He could – He did. But He put us (you, me, and everyone else) on this Earth for a reason. He strategically placed people together for a reason. We all go through trials and we were designed to use those trials and what we learn through them to encourage others who are going through similar situations. We probably could have saved ourselves a lot of trouble if we would have sought out a select few that could offer us words of wisdom. I say a select few, because you do not want to go around telling everyone you meet of your sorrows. You’ll get lots of “wisdom” that isn’t necessarily helpful. Seek out those you trust or who you know have overcome a situation similar to yours. Wisdom can come to you in many different forms. It may not always be exactly when you’re talking with God or praising Him. It could come from a friend who is standing with you and believing for your victory. Remember, you are not alone. God never intended for us to go through trials alone. I started this blog because I want to encourage you, stand with you, and believe with you until your victory is manifested. Please feel free to share below or contact me directly and let me know how I can specifically help you.
