God is Not a Respecter of Persons

For there is no respect of persons with God. Romans 2:11 KJV

God is not a respecter of persons. A respecter is someone that is influenced by social standing, importance, power, or any deterrent put forth by persons or things.

When you want something so badly, like having your own children, it seems as though everyone else around you has been blessed except you. Even couples not trying to get pregnant are suddenly pregnant. It causes you to feel like God has forgotten about you.

For God shows no partiality (no arbitrary favoritism; with Him one person is not more important than another) Romans 2:11 AMP

He hasn’t forgotten about you. He does hear you crying out so desperately for your desires. And He WANTS to give you children. In fact He WILL give you children. But it has to be in HIS timing. It has to be according to His plan and purpose for your life AND your child’s life.

God judges everyone the same. It doesn’t matter who they are. Romans 2:11 ERV

God is not influenced by how high up on the social ladder you are. He doesn’t “hand out” children based on how much money you have. Or how big of a house you have. Or how humble you are.

God does not play favorites. Romans 2:11 GW

Some teachers may have a “favorite” child in their class because they are always on their best behavior or answer all the questions. But you can’t “win” God’s affection by loving Him more or doing more things for Him. We are ALL His favorites. He won’t fulfill your promise just because He loves you more than the next person. Your promise will be fulfilled when it’s time. And not before.

I came across a post on this same topic on another site. It is somewhat lengthy, but worth the read. Check it out here.
