He Promised

Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your children will be like olive shoots around your table. -Psalm 128:3

The scripture above is a PROMISE from God for you to have children. It is not a maybe or if He feels like it. It doesn’t come with stipulations. It is, bottom line, a promise. And God does not (can not) break His promises.

God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill? -Numbers 23:19

No matter what the situation looks like now, you are PROMISED children. It will happen at just the right time.

Now the Lord was gracious to Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did for Sarah what he had promised. Sarah became pregnant and bore a son to Abraham in his old age, at the very time God had promised him. -Genesis 21:1-2

When we were waiting for our first child, it felt like we would never have any children. We stood on the promise and stood and stood some more. Then when we finally got that positive test, it was so much sweeter than if it would have happened right away. You may think that your blessing is tarrying, but to God it is not and He already chose the perfect time for your child(ren). Keep standing. Print out these scriptures and hang them on your bathroom mirror and the refrigerator and the front door…wherever you look everyday. Say them out loud. Thank God that your promise is coming.

Are you still waiting for your promise? Please let me know how I can encourage you in your time of waiting.
